The
kit has this vent incorrectly placed and orientated. The model
has the vent some distance aft of the trunk vent with the motor
facing to port when it was actually jammed right up against
the -starboard face- of the trunk vent with the motor facing
aft.
To
correct this.
- Modify
motor unit in preparation for gluing on the cowl vent as described
in the Motor Unit
section of the Vent Overview.
- Cut of
existing duct opposite motor unit and add a short circular
duct as described in the Duct
section of the Vent Overview.
- Modify
the cowl vent as described in the Cowl
Vent section of the Vent Overview and glue onto the motor
unit facing aft.
- Rotate
so that the motor is facing aft. Glue to the face to the box
vent so that at least 1/4 of the vent is blocked.
- Note:
The part is listed correctly as G33 in the instructions
but the artist has drawn a G25.
