Description:

Make the vent out of Evergreen rod selection or pulled sprue. For the base use a larger diameter rod and cut to approx. 4mm high.

For the main shaft use a narrower stock. Roy Mengot suggests .040 diameter rod.

Drill a hole in the top of the base to the same diameter as the main pipe.

Glue a length of rod about 30mm long into the hole. This will give you a little bit to work with.

Bend the rod to 45 degrees just above the base. The bend straight again 6mm above the bottom of the base.

Bend again at 17mm above the base in the opposite direction the the first bend.

The whole vent should be about 19mm tall.
