Description:

The curl vent part is labeled incorrectly and should be part G24A because you've already used all of the G24Bs.

This vent is very poorly represented in the kit. You can either keep the motor unit molded to the deck as is or slice this off and build a new one. In either case you will need to modify the curl vent to the correct configuration.

Option 1:

  1. Modify the curl vent as described in the Curl Vent section of the Vent Overview.
  2. Glue onto the port side of the existing vent with the curl facing starboard.

Option 2:

  1. Slice the molded vent motor off I10.
  2. Build a left handed motor unit as described in the Motor Unit section of the vent overview.
  3. Build the curved vent from scrap plastic or sprue and glue to the aft side of the vent.
  4. Modify the curl vent as described in the Curl Vent section of the Vent Overview.
  5. Glue onto the port side of your new vent with the curl facing starboard.

This is the preferred method because you can glue the vent back onto the deckhouse roof slightly forward of it's present position to allow more space for the funnel pipes and ladder.

To ensure that vents 53, 54 & 55 will fit into the space on the deck house roof AND allow the funnel pipes and ladders space you will need to make the following modification to the ducts...

Fashion new ducts from the sprue tree filed square. the duct should be approx. 1.5mm square.
