Description:
There
are two options:
Option
1:
Simply
add a piece of square rod onto the bottom of the curved
duct sticking out of the side of the part.
Option 2:
Step
1.
Remove
the existing motor unit and sand back of vent to reduce
the thickness slightly. Also remove duct on side of vent.
Step
2.
Reshape
curl vent as shown opposite.
Step
3 (motor body).
To
build the motor body cut a rectangle of 2mm thick sheet
styrene or one of the parts tabs from the sprue tree
to approx. 6.5mm to 4mm and round the top corners with
a file.
Cut
a notch into the motor body to form the duct and reduce
the height of the duct by 1mm to allow for the raised
platform that funnel no 1 sits on.
Now
glue the curl vent you modified in Step 1 onto the front
of the body of the motor unit.
Step
5.
Build
a motor unit as described in Steps 3 & 4 of the
Motor Unit
section of the Vents Overview and glue to the back of
the motor unit opposite the curved bottom of the curl
vent. As seen in diagram at the top of the page.
